One Teacher One Scientist (OTOS) was founded by educationist and author Vaishali Gupta in 2020 with a simple belief: no child should be left behind.
OTOS began by empowering both teachers and parents with innovative learning tools and hands-on workshops—serving privileged and not so privileged community children and teachers.
In response to the pandemic, OTOS launched SLATE—a bridge program offering activity-based learning for marginalized children. The result? Over 10,000+ out-of-school learners mainstreamed, through NGO disruptions, supported by trained volunteers and educators.
This success led to SLATE Digital, an accessible computer learning program in partnership with SADRAG and Noonch (Switzerland), helping close India’s digital divide through child-centered tech education.
Our various offerings revolve around learning philosophy that involves experiential, constructivist, and evidence based teaching methods. Our key offerings like STEAM Activity Cards, Outdoor journals, Scientific Drawing, Cooking, and Simple Coding books coupled with unique LIFE Walks through parks, museums, and monuments help nurture scientific temper, curiosity, and 21st-century skills in every child.

Our Story
OTOS was born from a dream—literally. On a cold morning en route to a workshop, Vaishali Gupta experienced a vivid, soul-stirring vision. Amid exhaustion and reflection, a message surfaced:
“Start a movement—One Teacher One Scientist—so every teacher can give the world one child who thinks like a scientist.”
The thought felt divine, intuitive, and persistent. What began as a passing vision turned into a purpose.
Armed with two decades of experience, Harvard learnings, and a desire to transform classrooms, Vaishali began OTOS—offering teachers and parents practical tools and resources to create real change.
The mission: to guide children toward active learning, critical thinking, and joyful discovery—led by empowered educators who are more than instructors... they’re mentors, facilitators, and changemakers.
Today, OTOS is not just a platform. It’s a movement powered by belief, built on action.
