What it builds

What your child walks away with

Not a list of what's in the box, but what your child walks away with.

1

Reflection

Looking back at what worked, what didn't, and why. Without judgement.

2

Self-awareness

Noticing your own values and beliefs as they show up in the classroom.

3

Mindfulness

Ten quiet minutes that belong to you, not the timetable.

4

Purpose

Reconnecting with why you chose to teach in the first place.

How it works

Ten minutes, when the day allows

1
Find a quiet ten minutes

Before school, after the last bell, or on a Sunday evening.

2
Read one prompt

Just one. Let it sit for a moment.

3
Write without editing

No one is marking this. Honest beats tidy.

4
Look back at term end

Reading old entries shows how much you've grown.

In the box

  • Guided prompts on values, beliefs, challenges and joys
  • Open pages for free writing

Why we made this

One teacher. One scientist.

Vaishali Gupta spent twenty years in education watching bright children decide they were “bad at science”, usually before they were seven, and usually after being handed a worksheet.

The problem was never ability. It was that science arrived as a set of answers to memorise, instead of a question worth chasing.

So she built what she wanted for her own classroom: activities that need no lab, no screen, and no expertise from the adult in the room.

Every order funds the SLATE Program. 5% of what you spend puts learning materials into the hands of children who would otherwise go without.
